The photo above is one of my all-time favorite newborn shots. Little Sarah was such an angel… So alert and sweet. She’s super lucky to have such an awesome big sister, too! I wanted to share her newborn session from June as well as a few shots from a family session we did this December… Six months later. You can see how big she’s gotten!
Six months later…
Last April, I met up with lovely little Grace for a cake smash! She was a bit timid at first, but then she really got into it! Beautiful cake, too! Happy (super belated) birthday, Grace!
Little Lucas turned one! We did a quick session at Hermann Park to commemorate this momentous occasion. I love his little smile and his obvious adoration of his mommy! Happy birthday, little dude.
Allie turned one and we had a fantastic little session at the Menil Museum, complete with a very enthusiastic cake smash. I love a good cake smash! Enjoy!
Elijah took advantage of some local bluebonnets for a very Texas-y session back in March. We headed to his house afterward for a few Easter photos. Thanks, Elijah!
Who doesn’t love siblings?! Luke was one of my first Father’s Day mini sessions, and now look how big he is. I can’t believe it. And he has a little sister now, too! She’s a sweetie! I can’t wait to see if they look alike!
Jesse turned one! I love this family; we did a cake smash and family photos, as well as a few individual shots for mom and dad while I was there. Every once in awhile, a client will ask for “atypical” shots, like individual photos of mom or dad, and I am happy to oblige! It’s hard enough to get all dressed up with a baby in the house… Might as well take the opportunity to grab an updated shot of yourself! It was fantastic to meet Jesse’s grandparents, too, who got in on the photo action as well. I love involving grandparents in sessions! I wish I had more photos of myself with my own grandparents when I was a kid.
Anyway, I loved this session because Jesse was super displeased with being messy from the cake! No thank you, cake, he prefers clean hands! It was really cute, and we managed to talk him into a little bit of mess before he politely requested a bath. Check it out!
Claire and Bradley are bright and active two year olds with big plans! Our session was a lot of fun. I plan to do a post on photographing children at this age, since it’s so different from the first year “milestone” sessions I normally do. Anyway, these two twins were awesome, and it was really fun trying to capture their personalities while they explored. Thanks for the fun day, kids!
Little Sage is such a sweetheart! Her session was last February, and I got to hang out with her and her newly-minted older sister, Serena! Sage is part Turkish, so we got to do some fun shots with some of the evil eye stuff around the house. They also had some amazing matching pants with their names printed. Think they come in adult sizes? Welcome, Sage!
Cameron has some news, everyone: She’s going to be a big sister! When we took these photos, mom and dad didn’t know the gender of the baby, so we did photos with two different signs. This way, they were able to grab the images they needed for their pregnancy announcement… And we got in a few shots for Cameron’s birthday party invites, too!
Back at the end of January, I did an indoor Valentine’s day “photobooth”. Parents could show up and see their kids in a few different setups: Valentine’s Day, Spring, or a Brick Wall option. They pay nothing to show up, but have the option to buy images from the gallery. I do something similar during Halloween. It’s a great way to get one or two shots for an otherwise minor holiday. We had a great time! Here are just a few shots:
I did this session back in January, and one particular memory stands out to me: Eliza was jumping in her crib like crazy toward the end of the session! I’ve never seen a one year-old jump like little Eliza! Also, they had an adorable pup, once again proving that if you have a social animal in your house, I will be forced to photograph her.
Okay, here we go with more shots from holiday sessions! It was a really fantastic season, and things are in full swing now for the busy summer season. My calendar is as full as ever, so email me if you want to get a spot! I’m even taking a few bookings already for next holiday season!

Sweet little Camden and his family had a lovely session last November. Little dude was SUCH a happy baby! I wonder how much he’s grown!
One of my all-time favorite families came back for a holiday session last November. The kids are so smart and funny, and it was great to see everyone again. Amazing how much they grow in just a year!
Lovely little Darius is one now, but back in November, he was just 8 months old and ready to take on the world! (Spoiler alert: you don’t think he can get cuter, but he does)
Charlotte was born in October, so this post is WAY overdue! Charlotte is so sweet and slept through quite a bit of her session! Welcome Charlotte, I can’t believe you’re already six months old now!
Little Jesse! He was the first “Halloween” baby I had this year, and I was lucky enough to spend time with him and his beautiful parents on an absolutely gorgeous day downtown.
I’ve had the honor of knowing Hadley’s mom since she was newly pregnant! Our kids are the same age, so this session from September seems like FOREVER AGO when I compare it to how big they are now! Hadley was about six months old here, and already sitting so well!
Little Benjy was my VERY FIRST child client when I started out! And he’s so big now! These were taken in September, just around Mr. Benjy’s second birthday. So much hair! So much energy! We were at home and Mommy even joined in for a few!

I held off on posting this session because the pictures were a surprise present for her grandparents, but it’s coming up on Tilley’s first birthday, and it’s time to share them! Tilley’s Aunt was in town and we did a session with the two sisters and their sweet little daughter/niece. It’s crazy to look at these photos and know how much bigger little T is now, but that session will have to wait for another blog day!

I was fortunate to spend the first session of September with Grace, a sweet little kiddo with lots of personality. Her mom came with some fun props and ideas, and it was fantastic!

Little Cameron is a hoot. We did this session at her house, on a relaxed weekend, which is such a fantastic alternative to shooting outside (especially in the summer). I love the idea of lifestyle photos that show what it’s like once you’ve settled in with the baby and are in the groove of parenting!

Seven months ago, I had a baby boy. I love boys for all of their buzzcuts and little man outfits… BUT I will not deny my secret thrill in girly girl sessions. It’s like I get to see the other side! And Miss Drew, well, she’s a southern peach of a girl if I’ve ever saw one. So much cuteness ahead, prepare yourselves!

First off, I am super lucky to live in a neighborhood with a TON of babies… And sometimes I can trick them into coming over and doing pictures! Woohoo!

I’ve been so fortunate to meet tons of sweet little babies this year! Wells is no exception– so precious she could be the new Gerber baby! Her session was a blast!
I love my job. And do you know why? Babies like little Annabel, who show up and are so smiley and bright. We had some great fun at the park together with her gorgeous mommy!
Sweet little Tilley is just the best. I’ve never seen a baby with such light, light cornsilk blonde hair! Her and her beautiful mommy were so much fun to shoot! We actually did two sessions, but this is just the first… I know, I’m so mean for making you wait!
Felix is a whopping two months old, and he’s already plotting to take over the world… With mommy’s help, of course! We had a great session for Father’s Day. Check it out!
I ran a Father’s Day special this summer, and was fortunate to meet several first time moms who wanted to surprise their husbands with pictures of their adorable kids! So let’s start off with little Luke, who is just adorable, and loved the camera!
Remember adorable little Stella? Well, Stella is getting big! Her mom and dad are Rice Owls, so what better place to take some 6 month shots?
Let’s talk about adorable families for a minute. Let’s talk about adorable families AND great architecture, together! AND DID I MENTION A PUPPY?! A holiday card shoot at the Menil gave me more than I bargained for with two awesome kids (and their parents were pretty darn cool, too)… Come see!
Let’s talk about unbridled joy, shall we? This kid… He kills me! The Youngs and I spent a morning at Hermann Park, hanging out on the playground and exploring. We had a blast!
This weekend, I got to meet Eli. He’s an active, lively and super smart little almost-two year-old, and we had a great time at a local park. Thanks for the fun playtime, Eli!
I got a chance to hang out with adorable little Benjamin again! He’s crawling all over the place now! We hung out at his house and took some fun, casual shots. This type of shoot is a great alternative to more formal pictures, because they help document normal, every day life for your baby! I hope you enjoy!
It was ridiculously hot for our shoot with Giselle and her lovely family, but the sun didn’t stop us from getting some great shots!
While up in Ohio, I got to catch up with high school friends Adam and Megan and meet their adorable, adventurous kids. I was super happy to see that they were a photogenic lot, too!
