About Jacki

Hi. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my work! Being entrusted with photographing families and life events is a great honor. I love meeting new people and would love to talk to you about your goals for our time together.

I prefer to do the majority of my sessions with natural light sources. I find that working with children and families is much more fun (and productive!) when hot, distracting studio lights are minimized. I have a small headshot studio in the Houston Heights area, and that is where most of my whitespace headshots are taken. Most of my newborn sessions are done in clients’ homes (to eliminate stress and travel when your baby is born!), and I photograph families in many of the beautiful public spaces Houston has to offer.

I came to Houston via Rice University and liked the city enough to call it home! My husband, 8 year-old son, 5 year-old daughter, cats and dogs keep me company while I edit photos and watch Golden Girls marathons. I’m an avid knitter, a fan of 70’s rock and 90’s R&B, and FOOD! I am a proud LGBTQ ally and am open to all shapes, sizes, and combinations of families and couples from all walks of life and all places on the globe. I really enjoy taking photos of “non-traditional” families and careers. I also love animals, kids, teenagers, and making a fool out of myself to make you smile! After all, if you don’t look great, I wouldn’t be a very good photographer, would I?
